Feature availability
What Hourzero can do today, where to find features you know from Chatbase, and what isn't available yet.
If you've used Chatbase or a similar tool, most of Hourzero will feel familiar: you build an agent, give it knowledge, test it, and put it on your website and messaging apps. This page shows where each familiar feature lives in Hourzero, what Hourzero adds, and what it doesn't do.
Note
Hourzero is its own product. Settings, links, code snippets, and API examples from Chatbase don't work in Hourzero, even when a feature has a similar name.

Channels you can use
On your website:
- Chat Bubble: a launcher in the corner that opens a chat window.
- Center Stage: a chat bar at the bottom center of the page.
- Help Page: a full-page chat you can style and test in the Playground. It can't be published to customers.
Website chats can also let visitors attach files (File uploads) and speak instead of typing (Voice transcription). You turn both on per channel in the Playground.
In messaging apps: WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Slack, Discord, Telegram, and Twilio (SMS, MMS, and RCS text messages).
What Hourzero adds
These features go beyond answering questions from your knowledge:
Coming soon
Two tabs in the agent's Settings say Coming soon and don't do anything yet:
- Notifications: choosing which agent events notify your teammates.
- Custom domains: connecting your own web address to customer-facing pages.
The Allowed domains list you fill in when you publish the website widget is a different thing. It controls which websites may show your chat, and it works today.
Not available
Hourzero doesn't offer these. Where there's another way to get the job done, it's listed.
- Publishing the Help Page. Use Chat Bubble or Center Stage on your website instead.
- A public API. There's no API for sending messages to your agent or managing it from your own code. Use Webhooks to send events to other apps.
- Ready-made app integrations or plugins, such as for Zapier, Shopify, WordPress, or a CRM. Paste the embed code into any website builder that allows custom code, use Webhooks to send leads and chats to other apps, and use a Custom action or MCP to let the agent work with your other systems.
- Automatic website updates. Hourzero reads your web pages when you add them and doesn't check them again. When your site changes, update the source and retrain.
- Phone calls or a voice agent. Voice transcription turns a visitor's speech into a typed message in the website chat. The agent always answers in text.
- Starting conversations or sending campaigns. The agent replies to customers who write to it. It doesn't message them first.
- A temperature setting or side-by-side model comparison. To compare models, try them one at a time in the Playground, or run a benchmark.
Things that depend on your setup
Some features exist but need something else first:
- Your plan. Limits on credits, agents, members, and file sizes depend on your plan. Single sign-on needs Enterprise. See Plans, billing, and invoices.
- Your role. Only owners and admins can invite members, manage billing, connect messaging apps, and set up the Helpdesk and single sign-on. See Members and invitations.
- Your Hourzero setup. If a connect button says an app "is not available yet", or a section says something isn't configured, that part hasn't been set up for your Hourzero installation. Contact your workspace administrator.
Tip
If you can't find a feature, check the page's own message first. Hourzero usually tells you why a button is off, for example a plan limit or a missing permission.
